On Sunday the 5th August I went with the Western Region of the R.P.S to Mells in Somerset. The idea was to photograph some of the remains of the old Fussell's Iron Works, but the weather was against us, in fact at one point I became soaked to the skin! This an old set of steps from one level to another within the old complex.
Alongside the old ruins was a fast flowing river, and here I
photographed some sun-kissed leaves against the moving water
Several of us had coffee in a delightful garden cafe- they
had an old piano which was certainly past it's best!
In the Parish church of St.Andrew there is an equestrian statue by Sir Alfred Munnings in memory of Edward Horner - photographed in silhouette against the stained glass window
