Just returned from 5 days in North Wales - almost blown away on Sunday and Monday, but still managed to get a few pictures (207 actually!). Visited two National Trust properties (Powys Castle and Plas Newydd), went on the Welsh Highland Railway, down a Slate Mine and to the Italianate village of Portmeirion. Was disappointed not to go on the Cog Tramway up to the Great Orme, but it was suspended due to the very high winds!

Success in W.C.P.F Projected Image Exhibition

I attended the first showing of the Western Counties Photographic Federation DPIC Exhibition in Exeter on Sunday last, and was delighted to find that I had two images accepted - and one received a Very Highly Commended Certificate!  Not a new picture by any means, but never before entered as a projected image.  This was in the Creative Section - called "Hurrying Down" and here it is:

The Watermill Theatre visit

On Thursday, I went with friends from PROBUS to the Watermill Theatre which is in a little village called Bagnor near Newbury. Had a super lunch then saw the afternoon matinee - it was musical review called 'Radio Times'
